John Smith joined FranklinCovey in 1997, having previously worked for the Covey Leadership Center. As a facilitator and consultant, John focuses on helping his clients deliver improved business results through applied leadership development and organizational change processes. He has worked with such clients as TransCanada, Nova Chemicals, General Electric, Alberta Provincial Government, and the Saskatchewan Provincial Government.

John is a graduate of the University of Waterloo with degrees in engineering and management sciences. He is currently completing a master’s in workplace learning and leadership development at the University of Calgary.

Prior to joining FranklinCovey, John worked in a variety and sales and marketing management roles at IBM, where he earned four IBM Canada Sales Achievement Awards and two IBM International Awards for high achievement.
