Coaching and Consulting Experience
Over a 30-year career, Deborah sharpened a unique blend of skills in leadership and employee development, coaching, succession and human capital planning, merger integration and talent acquisition. She is experienced in both domestic and international arenas, across diverse industries such as pharmaceuticals, consumer goods, telecommunications and software. She is effective working within multi-cultural environments and is a creative problem-solver, able to develop and implement new ideas to drive improvement and advance corporate goals. Deborah is a Hudson Institute Certified Coach and holds certifications in numerous assessment tools.
Business and Career Background
Prior to joining the coaching team at Robert Gregory Partners, Deborah was the Vice President of Talent Management and Organizational Effectiveness at Eaton, a global power management engineering and manufacturing company. There, she developed and deployed programs and activities to build leadership capabilities. Among her many successes were the addition of assessment, coaching and development planning to the company’s flagship executive leaders’ program. She also implemented an Early Talent Center of Excellence, responsible for university hiring and development programs across all functions and businesses in the U.S., upgraded the succession program and designed and implemented a new executive onboarding process.
Deborah previously was Vice President, HR, for Mead Johnson Nutritionals, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bristol Myers Squibb, where she implemented a critical skills/career path program to address both short- and longer-term success issues and provide career direction to key talent. She ascended through numerous positions over 20 years spent at Motorola, Inc., ultimately becoming Vice President of Talent and Staffing. Earlier director positions at Motorola in HR and Organization Development and Training were international posts, primarily in Asia. Her academic experience includes working as Assistant Professor of Management at Northern Illinois University.
Education and Certifications
Deborah earned her Doctoral Degree in industrial/organizational psychology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology from Marian College/University in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Deborah is certified in Managing Organizational Change, Organization Design and Change Acceleration, Hogan Assessment, Voices 360 and Organizational Design and Assessment.
