Ryan has more than 10 years of experience coaching and consulting in a variety of industries including healthcare, financial services, insurance, automotive, technology, manufacturing, and non-profit organizations. He has coached a wide range of executives, including chief executive officers, chief financial officers, chief marketing and sales officers, presidents, executive vice presidents, senior vice presidents, and directors. Additionally, he has experience coaching emerging and transitioning leaders, high potentials, and expats.

Ryan’s areas of expertise include leadership coaching, transition/onboarding coaching, development programming, and career growth coaching. For each of his engagements, Ryan works with the client to co-create a tailored program that addresses the most challenging issues and supports achievement of ambitious goals and results. Additionally, his fluency in both English and Spanish allows Ryan to connect with bilingual or native Spanish-speaking executives to accelerate their performance.

 

Business and Career Background

 

Ryan brings 20 years of global business, leadership, and Human Resources experience to his engagements. Currently, Ryan is a Senior Director with McKesson Corp., a global healthcare services and medical supply company. There, he is an internal coach who is responsible for all expat selection, onboarding, development, and repatriation. Prior to his coaching role, Ryan was a Chief of Staff to the Head of HR and led the Program Management Office at McKesson.

Prior to McKesson, Ryan was a VP with a private-equity backed Asset Management firm. The company had $275MM in revenue and over $20B AUM. Ryan was responsible for all human resources disciplines for 700+ employees in multiple states. He coached C-level leaders in all people-related matters including organizational design, restructuring, C- level hiring, merger and acquisition integration, and stewarding of the culture. Ryan has also held numerous roles in HR at Genworth Financial and GE. Throughout his career, Ryan has built and managed high-performing teams, lead enterprise-wide organizational transformations, and managed large-scale, complex change management initiatives. Additionally, Ryan is a teacher and facilitator in leadership, management, and Human Resources for eCornell.

 

Education and Certifications

 

Ryan holds a Master of Industrial and Labor Relations (MILR) from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Brigham Young University. He is certified in the Hogan Assessment and ZengerFolkman 360.
